CHAOYANG DISTRICT. This Chinese-style nightclub can often be a bit bright and kitsch, but it's a good nightspot for a group of friends as you can request a private room or a table. Service is good and drinks are not overpriced.

CHAOYANG DISTRICT. If you want to rub shoulders with Beijing's young high society, this is the place to come, especially on weekends. Great tunes; in fact, it has something of an Ibiza flavor.

CHAOYANG DISTRICT. A popular hangout for the young and promiscuous. Dance, disco, pop and techno is the main diet here. Bar Blu requently hosts theme nights, so you should call beforehand to check what's going on. Happy Hour 5 - 9 and Ladies Nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Bar Blu also has a lovely refreshing roof terrace.

CHAOYANG DISTRICT. Block 8 is a sophisticated blend of nightclub meets cocktail lounge meets Japanese restaurant. Features sushi chefs, fashion shows, champagne and contemporary tunes. Block 8 is popular with Westerners and becomes very lively on weekends.

If a Mexican night on the town beckons, then this is your place. Early evenings for tacos and burritos and pitchers of margueritas; then the salsa starts and everyone has a ball. Latino dancing might go on til the early hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Good food, excellent cocktails and the best of Latino music.
